General comments:

Widespread but rather local.

The widely-spaced localities might reflect, in part, a reluctance by adult moths to visit light traps. Overall, however, it is unlikely to prove anywhere near ubiquitous. I inadvertently attracted males to the combination MYO-TIP-VES pheromone lures (designed for clearwing moths) at Ickenham Marsh, Middlesex in 2002. If using pheromones to find clearwings, please be aware that there may be an overlooked by-catch!
