Our scattered Hertfordshire records all relate in one way or another to some of the county's better woodlands - being recorded either directly within, or else in an adjacent area. The absence from Middlesex might be real, but extensive searching should be undertaken in the North London Woodlands along the Herts/Middx boundary zone before this moth is written off here.
