Ancylis uncella

([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)1118 / 49.202

General comments:
Erroneously recorded.

Provisional distributions maps prepared for the series Moths and Butterflies of Great Britain and Ireland by the late Maitland Emmet showed a Hertfordshire dot for this species 'teste Ted Hancock'. No details are available except that the record appears to have been made prior to 1900. It is a species of moorland and open scrub; the record is not believed.
