Ancylis laetana

(Fabricius, 1775)1123 / 49.203

General comments:
Widespread but local resident. Not uncommon.

Primarily a woodland species that flies at sunset and after dark. For Middlesex, first noted in the Ruislip area and then found again in the same area 56 years later. This suggests very strongly that this moth has been under-recorded in the interim.

Recorded in 8 (20%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1890.
Last Recorded in 2020.
