General comments:
Widespread and common.

A numerous species,likely to be present on all garden lists as well as in woodlands and elsewhere. Larvae were found on poplar at Hilfield Reservoir, Aldenham on 26th May 1980 (Barry Goater).

Recorded in 31 (76%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1890.
Last Recorded in 2024.
