General comments:
Widespread but local resident.

Evidently a more frequent species with us than Rhyacionia buoliana which, interestingly, does not appear to be as dependant upon Scots Pine as is the present species.

Recorded in 27 (66%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1885.
Last Recorded in 2023.
