Evergestis limbata

(Linnaeus, 1767)1356a / 63.059

General comments:
Immigrant.

A newcomer to our fauna, with just three records, all very recent, from Marshalls Heath, 8th July 2021, Royston, 10th July 2021 and Bishops Stortford, 8th July 2023. There were further records in 2024, not yet sorted for analysis here, but they included Roydon in the north-east. It is understood that this species may have established residency in the Breckland district; if so, then gradual colonisation of north-east Hertfordshire is a possibility.

Recorded in 3 (7%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 2021.
Last Recorded in 2023.
