Udea prunalis

([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)1390 / 63.034

General comments:
Widespread but local resident.

This moth starts to peak in numbers as Udea olivalis is mid-way through its decline and though there is an overlap zone, in most individual years this is very narrow. In spite of being a common species we have no breeding records for the area. The near absence from all of Middlesex comes as a great surprise ... surely there is a measure of under-recording?
