General comments:
Former adventive / immigrant. Now widespread and resident.

The Box Moth or Box-tree Moth has spread rapidly westwards across Europe from an origin in China, facilitated by the trade in horticulture. It reached Britain in 2007 and is present throughout all of southern England where it causes damage to Box trees and is now considered a major horticultural pest.
