Hertfordshire Notes:
First noted in Hertfordshire by J. F. Stephens, who used a specimen he had collected near Hertford for his Illustrations of British Entomology : 232, published in 1834, there are also old records from St Albans, within two or three miles of the Town Hall, and Bricket Wood, both in the period before 1889 (Gibbs). Modern records show a spread across the county and suggest that the species is under-recorded here.

Middlesex Notes:
Apparently restricted to the north of the county, but probably under-recorded because of its similarity to the next two species.
