Widespread but local resident.

Our earliest record, in 1933, is from Harpenden, but the bulk of modern records follow the Chalk geology in the north and west marginal areas and then south down the River Colne Valley. The central Hertfordshire band of records needs closer investigation, but many map dots lie on the Chalky Boulder Clay.The single recent Middlesex report, from the area around Heathrow Airport, is probably best regarded as unconfirmed, as no voucher specimen or photograph appears to be available. It was discovered amongst many other data submitted to iRecord and thus not available for proper scrutiny.
