Plodia interpunctella

(Hübner, 1813)1479 / 62.062

General comments:
Widespread synanthropic resident.

The Indian Meal Moth is probably unable to thrive outside heated human habitations and is unlikely to become established in the wild. Indoors, it is a common and probably largely unreported pest of farinaceous materials, including wild bird feeds.

Recorded in 25 (61%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1921.
Last Recorded in 2023.
