Immigrant / vagrant.

There has been significant confusion between this species and Phycitodes saxicola; reports of the latter species in the literature mostly turn out to refer to maritima. Genitalia dissection is compulsory in support of both species. Phycitodes maritima does not appear to be resident in our two counties, though it would not be surprising if this statement were to be proved wrong.
