Adaina microdactyla

(Hübner, 1813)1517 / 45.043

General comments:
Widespread and common, but only locally so.

Alhough adults attend light traps, few people actually record this species this way. It is rather easily found by looking for the galls (swellings) on the stems of the foodplant (Hemp Agrimony Eupatorium cannabinum). It is likely to be found wherever stands of the foodplant persist unmanaged.

Recorded in 15 (37%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1885.
Last Recorded in 2023.
