Stainton, 1851245 / 12.030

Hertfordshire Notes:
There are only two Hertfordshire records of this species, from the Sandridge area (Griffith, 1890) and from Cheshunt (Boyd, 1901). However, unlike some of the other potential pest species mentioned above, pallescentella does not appear to have suffered a particularly significant national decline and so its apparent absence from our county may reflect under-recording. Whatever the reason, we have no records for at least 120 years.

Middlesex Notes:
Locally distributed, but the spread of reports suggests that this species might be overlooked and may, in fact, be rather widespread across Middlesex.

Recorded in 7 (17%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1890.
Last Recorded in 2017.
