Tinea semifulvella

Haworth, 1828246 / 12.032

General comments:
Widespread and usually common.

Expected in most garden moth traps. Early records are from Broxbourne Woods (Boyd, 1901) and Berkhamsted (Griffith, 1890). There are no further reports until 1969, when it is recorded from Borehamwood by Eric Bradford. In the years since the inception of the Herts Moth Group, however, it has proved to be widespread and common across the county. It seems to be equally widespread in Middlesex.

Recorded in 31 (76%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1937.
Last Recorded in 2024.
