Hertfordshire Notes:
The earliest record is from Wormley Wood, reported by W. C. Boyd in 1901. Our records suggest that only wild rose species are mined by the larvae, as we have no records from any variety of cultivated rose.

Middlesex Notes:
On rose Rosa and Salad Burnet Poterium sanguisorba. Local and rare, affecting the northern boundary area with Hertfordshire only. This is surprising, as the moth is widespread, if numerically scarce, in Hertfordshire. Population densities fluctuate from year to year and it may be that we have not yet looked for it in Middlesex in a 'good' year.
