Hertfordshire Notes:
Widespread but very local. Rare in the north-west where the chalk geology limits the number of birch trees present.

Middlesex Notes:
Local, but likely to be distributed wherever birches grow. Voucher specimens should be retained if possible.

Mine: Moth needs to be reared and, in some cases, possibly dissected.
