Aspilapteryx tringipennella

(Zeller, 1839)294 / 15.015

General comments:
The unrecorded areas in the distribution map most likely reflects the failure by lepidopterists to get down on their hands and knees and examine the upper surface of Ribwort Plantain Plantago lanceolata leaves for the larval mines (which at first glance resemble those of a Phyllonorycter species), during June and July or over the winter. The adult moth flies in afternoon and early evening sunshine and can be netted over the foodplant without effort

Mine: Either the leaf or a good photograph required
