General comments
Widespread, but local and scarce. Not recorded in the northern part of Hertfordshire. The larvae are associated with Rumex, Polygonum and Lysimachia and are sensitive to inappropriate grazing regimes. Although doubtless under-recorded, the range of this species will be limited by availability of habitat of the right quality.
