General comments:
Widespread. Abundant in most years. The caterpillar creates an unmistakable pucker mine on the underside of a hawthorn leaf and just about every hawthorn in the county is affected. Mines are abundant on the bushes in most years, though only very rarely more than one on a single leaf.
