Phyllonorycter scopariella

Zeller, 1846340 / 15.061

General comments:
Absent - last seen in 1968. The Sandridge area, prior to 1890 (Griffith) and Borehamwood, where adults were caught on 27th June 1962 and 27th July 1964 (Eric Bradford) are the only localities for this species in the county. Searching in recent years has failed to produce mines, though they are hard to spot and the possibility that this is an overlooked species remains. Beating broom bushes in June and early July is likely to produce adults in the increasingly unlikely event that they are present.

Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required.
