General notes:
Local and scarce, but perhaps extending its range.

This is a recent addition to the fauna of our two counties. Mark Sterling collected mines during 2007 in the car park of the Vue Cinema Complex in Watford and adults emerged July 2008 - new to Hertfordshire. Larval mines in leaves of Grey Alder Alnus incana at Kempton in 2013 form our first Middlesex record and in that same year a second Hertfordshire site was discovered at Waterford Heath. All remaining reports from the two counties are for the years from 2018 onwards.
