Cedestis gysseleniella

(Zeller, 1839)442 / 16.021

General Notes:
Local and scarce. The distribution map reflects the scarcity of this pine-feeding species in Hertfordshire, which is probably a consequence of there being rather few pine trees. However, the south-eastern bias in records is unexpected and unexplained. It is possible that small populations thrive, undetected in gardens and other inaccessible places.

Recorded in 16 (39%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1968.
Last Recorded in 2024.
