Hertfordshire Notes:
Widespread and usually common. Our earliest reference for this species is for Hertford in J.F. Stephens' Illustrations of British Entomology 4:278, published in 1834. The record is not mapped as Stephens' definition of 'Hertford' incorporated a large area around the town.

Middlesex Notes:
Widespread and usually common. In Middlesex, mostly associated with street lime trees Tilia, though elsewhere also on birches Betula.
