Prays fraxinella

(Bjerkander, 1784)449 / 22.002

General comments:
Widespread and common in the typical form and, based on records of this form, a familiar and expected species wherever there are Ash trees.

The almost unicolorous melanic form is extremely difficult to separate from Prays ruficeps and many such records remain unresolved for the present.

Recorded in 33 (80%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1834.
Last Recorded in 2024.
