Ypsolopha dentella

(Fabricius, 1775)453 / 17.003

General comments:
Although clearly able to thrive on garden varieties of honeysuckle, this attractive and distinctive moth is far more plentiful in association with wild honeysuckle growing in a semi-natural woodland setting. There is a single generation each year, but the single records for April (Bishops Stortford in 2020) and Maple Lodge (October in 2020) are quite genuine - if surprising.

Recorded in 31 (76%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1890.
Last Recorded in 2023.
