General comments:
All of the Coleophora species in our area are under-recorded; naming most requires either finding the larvae or dissecting the genitalia of the adults (or both!). For this reason, notes made here are deliberately short, but will be updated on a species by species basis as information surfaces.

Widespread. On ems - unidentified elm suckers are favoured and Wych Elm seems to be ignored.

Pre-1970 records require checking as they are probably inadequately separated from C. alnifoliae.
