General comments:
All of the Coleophora species in our area are under-recorded; naming most requires either finding the larvae or dissecting the genitalia of the adults (or both!). For this reason, notes made here are deliberately short, but will be updated on a species by species basis as information surfaces.

Widespread, but local. On Lesser Stitchwort. The name lineolea was incorrectly applied to striatipennella by Meyrick (1928) and Ford (1949) and so older literature records should always be checked by examining the voucher specimens.
