General comments:
All of the Coleophora species in our area are under-recorded; naming most requires either finding the larvae or dissecting the genitalia of the adults (or both!). For this reason, notes made here are deliberately short, but will be updated on a species by species basis as information surfaces.

Widespread and common. On rushes (Juncus).

Confusion between Coleophora caesititiella, C. glaucicolella and C. alticolella is very likely at all stages of the life cycle and dissection of adults is the favoured method of identification.

	Case: A good quality photo or specimen of the case and plant/pabulum and gen. det. of bred moth is required.
