Hertfordshire Notes: The map in volume 1 of Moths and Butterflies of Great Britain and Ireland, published in 1976, shows a past record for Hertfordshire; the text implies that the record was made prior to 1900, but the original data cannot be traced. The 1997 book Butterflies and Moths of Bedfordshire lists Pegsdon Hills and Dunstable Downs for this species; parts of both of these places fall within vice-county 20, and may be the source of the record.
