Oxypteryx unicolorella

(Duponchel, 1843)732 / 35.080
=Eulamprotes unicolorella

General comments:
Extremely local resident but probably under-recorded.
A fairly scarce species nationally, perhaps associated with Hypericum species, which suddenly appeared in 2013 and which now affects several widely-spaced localities. Adults may be tricky to separate from those of Monochroa tenebrella, but close examination of the antenna colour (females only), and the labial palps should allow separation; the genitalia differ significantly.
