General comments:
Extremely local resident.
Damp habitats with a longevity of presence of the larval foodplant (Meadowsweet Filipendula ulmaria) is required. The larvae feed in the rootstock of the plant. Adult males come to light traps and can sometimes be netted from the foodplant at dusk, but the females appear remarkably sedentary.
