Recurvaria leucatella

General comments:
Widespread and common.
A distinctive species. First reported for Hertfordshire from the Hertford area as Telea leucatella L. by J. F. Stephens in his Illustrations of British Entomology, published in 1834. Associated with rosaceous trees and bushes, the caterpillar spins leaves of the foodplant together and feeds within.
