General comments:
Vagrant - potential future resident.
Until 2022, there were just 9 records of this coastal species on our patch, but in that year both counties were subjected to an unexpected invasion, with a total of 204 individual arrival events so far reported. In most cases, each event involved large numbers of the moth - occasionally in the thousands. In a small number of places, larvae were reported later in the year mining Brassica crops and a generation of adults subsequently appeared.
