General comments:
Most larval mines can be recognised, but in some cases adults will need to be reared for correct naming. The revelation that there are no Hertfordshire records for this species prior to year 2000 is very surprising and probably reflects the neglect that the micro-moths have suffered at the hands of local lepidopterists over the years.
