Mompha bradleyi

(Riedl, 1965)889a / 40.007

Generalcomments:
Very local, but potentially under-recorded.

Positive separation of wild-caught adults of this species from Mompha divisella requires genitalia dissection in both sexes. The larvae gall the main stem of Epilobium hirsutum, creating a spindle-shaped swelling at a node and sometimes causing stem distortion above the gall.

Determination by Genitalia Examination Required

Recorded in 3 (7%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1993.
Last Recorded in 2016.
