General comments:
Widespread and common.

The three "Common Cochylis" are often caught together in light traps and can be easily separated as adults using the following guide:

atricapitella - black head & black thorax;
dubitana - white head & dark thorax
hybridella - white head & white thorax.

In all cases of doubt, refer to the genitalia.
