Stigmella mespilicola

(Frey, 1856)99a / 4.031

General comments:
Our two records, from Broxbourne Woods NNR in Hertfordshire and the Natural History Museum garden in South Kensington, Middlesex, were both made in 2016 and remain our only evidence of the species in our area. Inevitably, human-aided accidental introduction might be responsible for the London record, but this is by far less likely at Broxbourne.

Recorded in 2 (5%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 2016.
Last Recorded in 2016.
