General comments
Widespread but local resident.

A long-term resident of the Thames Estuary it expanded its range across Middlesex and into southern Hertfordshire from about the 1980s. This expansion appears to be continuing as there are still a few areas, especially in North Herts, where the moth seems rare (in 2022).

Recorded in 23 (56%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1899.
Last Recorded in 2022.
