General comments:
Widespread but local resident.

There is just a handful of historic records, from our first at Tring in October 1902 through to just three in the 1970s, at Radley Wood, Totteridge and Royston (all probably immigrants). Since the 1990s, however, the adult moth has appeared in increasing number year on year and is now a widespread resident, albeit rather local. The larvae are said to have adapted to feeding on various garden Cupressaceae rather than their more natural Juniperus but it would be nice to have some postive evidence to support this.
