Infrequent immigrant.

Hertfordshire Notes:
All known records are listed: Cheshunt Street, 25th August 1868 (Boyd, 1868 & 1901; Gibbs, 1904a); Battler's Green, Aldenham, one in 1898 and another between 1898 and 1904, by Miss Ada Selby (Gibbs, 1904a); Rabley Heath, Knebworth, June 1931 (Harvey) in Foster (1937); One taken at a searchlight at Walkern on 1 August 1943 (Rev. W. D. W. Greenham); Unknown locality in southern Hertfordshire - at the meeting of the South London Entomological and Natural History Society held on 10th May 1950, 'Mr W. Wildridge reported that Celerio livornica Esp. had recently been taken in Herts.' (SLENHS 1950 - : 9); Arkley, one on 27 March 1957 (Bell, 1959); Sarratt, a female resting among tall grass on 28th June 1962 (J. Mosedale, reported in de Worms, 1964); Radlett, at the end of June 1962 (R. A, French, reported in Bell, 1964); Walkern, 1st August 1943, (W. D. W. Greenham) and then contemporary records from Bengeo Street, Hertford, 28th June 2003, Bishops Stortford, 13th June 2004, Baldock, 25 Aug 2015, St Albans, 3 Jun 2021, Hitchin, 2 Jun 2022, Letchworth, 24 Aug 2022 and Gubblecote, 28 Jun 2022.

Middlesex Notes: Rare immigrant. Noted twice only, at Regent’s Park, in 1943 and at Ickenham, in 1985.

Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required.
