General comments:
Widespread but local resident.

The Lead-coloured Drab may well be under-recorded since there is possible identification confusion with some forms of Clouded Drab. Positive separation of males in the field is very easy, because the antennae of the Lead-coloured Drab are feathered whilst they comprise a single filament, at least to the unaided eye, in Clouded Drab. However, this does not work for females; examples caught within sight of Aspen trees are always worth showing to someone with greater experience.
